iLs is a multi-sensory program aimed at improving brain function. The goal of the program is to improve language skills, psychological performance, and emotional stability. This is accomplished through the strengthening current pathways and creating new neural connections in the brain. iLs influences the following systems: visual, auditory, balance, motor, coordination, behavior, and emotional regulation.
Interactive Metronome (IM) is a neuro-motor assessment and treatment tool used in therapy to improve the neurological processes of motor planning and sequencing. The IM program challenges the patient to synchronize a range of hand and foot exercises to a precise computer-generated reference tone heard through headphones.
This program was developed in Europe as a noninvasive listening program for individuals with auditory processing difficulties. Auditory processing disorders can affect development of speech and language skills.
